Express Rx Refills FAQ

Express Rx Refills FAQ

Q: If I have a child under the age of 13, how do I order their prescriptions?
A: You may use the Express Refill function for children (under age 13).

Q: I requested a refill online, but when I got to the store they said it needed authorization from my physician. Why?
A: In Michigan, prescriptions are valid for either six (6) or twelve (12) months from the date written. If you request an expired prescription, we will contact your physician, but there is no guarantee that they will authorize the request and we can’t be sure of turn- around time from the physician’s offices, either.

Q: Can I request new prescriptions through the Express Refill?
A: No. Only requests for refills of prescriptions at Pharmacies can be requested. All new prescriptions must be dropped off at your favorite Family Fare, D&W Fresh Market, Glen’s, or VG’s Pharmacy.

Q: Can I request a different quantity or other modifications to be made to the prescription via Express Refill?
A: No. The refill functionality only supports refilling the prescription as it was filled on the previous occasion. If you need specific modifications to your order, please contact the Pharmacy Staff where you would like it filled. They will be happy to accommodate your requests.

Q: Can I request the prescription to be picked up at a store other than the one where it was last filled?
A: Not at this time. We are expecting this functionality to be available at a later date.
